Oh, this looks great, thanks! Don't know if it makes sense, but would a filter work for the post_type? Personally would rather using regular posts and just assign them a 'note' kind with the Post Kinds plugin.

@dinis Hmm, yes, I think that makes sense. The only thing to note is that the Hashtags taxonomy would then get associated to regular posts as well.
