School rankings 2018: compare your test score

Every year, newspapers in Portugal publish the school rankings — a list of secondary education schools, ordered by their national test score performance and some additional criteria.

In 2019, we thought of using the raw data of the test scores to build a tool, directed at students, to compare their own scores with their peers. Users would choose a district, school, and test and input their score — which would then be highlighted on several charts.

Scrolling through the page would also give some more information on national and district averages.

This project was part of the bigger School rankings 2018 dossier, for which we also designed and developed some data-heavy dashboards and maps.
